Reviews
Big bookstore with a good selection of books. The most characteristic thing about this place is that it is placed where there used to be a cinema. This is a unique thing that’s only shared with "Librería El Ateneo - Gran Splendid" in Buenos Aires City (if you are like me a true fan of books don’t miss the opportunity to visit it).
The building was beautiful but there was very small amount of books in English.
A hidden gem. This place doesn't appear on lists of "10 best" but it should. If you don't read Spanish, go inside anyway to see this uniquely designed store
Huge selection of books, helpful staff
Nice promotion, good service
Very peculiar bookstore, unique I would say, the space of an old theater was used, when you enter you are left staring in wonder, a great idea, I hope it continues like this for many years
I am not from Seville, nor do I know if the news that came out about the definitive closure of this business is real. I base this on my impression as a client on my recent trip...and it was devastating to see such an impressive place, an old theater still with its stage and carpet...with half-empty shelves, folded books, poorly placed, a dedicated staff. , but already older and clueless in some cases about their existence...even so, we bought some old comics and a history book.
I am a lover of books and culture in general, and it made me quite sad.
I hope the closure is not true, but it is obvious that they need an injection of energy among other things.
A great bookstore that should have much more impact and that no newspaper or unprofessional journalists would lie just thinking about filling out meaningless pages like the one they published.
They don't deserve this at all, they deserve to be helped and everything clarified and for the person responsible for this false news to pay for it.
For my part, I will do the right thing if I like a book I will stick with it and with respect to the toxic newspaper I will not buy it.
A hug and much encouragement to all
